Like many families with young children, Eric Carle is a standard fixture in our home. I’ve yet to see anything capture the attention of my kids more than his colorful illustrations of layered paint and tissue paper.

I’ve been dying to visit the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art ever since it opened (in 2001). Unfortunately Amherst, MA, isn’t a place I travel to very often. Maybe it’s time for a roadtrip!
