The Whitney has a great video of Alexander Calder and his circus from their exhibit Alexander Calder The Paris Years 1926-1933. Calder created these miniature Circus works during 1926-31.

The Whitney has the largest body of work by Alexander Calder in any museum, definitely something to check out!
