I’m always on the lookout for one-of-a-kind pieces for my home and studio. My vintage obsession stems from a childhood spent antiquing with my mother, scouring estate sales and flea markets for forgotten treasures. I actually had a booth of my own for years at various local flea markets, though most of my proceeds were immediately reinvested inside the booths of the other venders.
That’s why I was thrilled to discovered Chairish, an online consignment shop filled with gorgeous secondhand home decor for the design-obsessed. You can easily spend hours scrolling their vintage finds, all priced reasonably by individual sellers. The site makes it easy to sell your own things as well by connecting you to other like-minded buyers.
When Chairish asked me to share some of my favorites from the site, I jumped at the opportunity. Even better, Chairish is giving away a $250 gift certificate to one lucky Handmade Charlotte reader. Visit the sweepstakes page to enter, we’ll be announcing the winner on Dec. 30th!
Here are 12 of my recent favorites—head over to Chairish to see the rest of the items in my collection, follow other tastemakers, or start a collection of your own.
1. Vintage Chrome Heywood-Wakefield Chairs, 2. Vintage School Map of Africa, 3. Vintage Industrial Workbench, 4. Vintage Industrial Storage Locker, 5. Mid-Century Swivel Dining Chairs, 6. Repurposed Ronald McDonald Lamp, 7. Vintage German Beer Garden Picnic Tables, 8. Vintage Cathrineholm Enamelware Lotus Platter, 9. Circus-Inspired Mid-Century Folding Screen, 10. Large Framed Abstract Painting, 11. Vintage Wire Baskets, 12. Vintage Decorating Book Bundle.
I’ll admit this Repurposed Ronald McDonald Lamp could either be super fun or totally frightening, depending on your background and current state of mind. Either way, it’s definitely something you would have a hard time finding anywhere else! The hollow cast resin Ronald McDonald head, dating back to the 1960s or ’70s, is wired as a fully functional floor lamp.
Spend most of your time on the go? Now you can get your Chairish fix on your iPhone with their new app (available on the App Store on iTunes). I’ve been using it for a few days now—highly addicting:)
