If you’re like me, this printable calendar is the perfect project for celebrating crafting throughout 2014. Each month features a happy supply (pencils! glue! glitter!) that can be colored in or simply left in black and white (ooh, modern!).
What You Need
- Printable 2014 Crafty Calendar (download here)
- Card stock
- Scissors or paper cutter
- Washi tape or baker’s twine and hole punch
Step 1
Print the calendar pages onto card stock and cut out each month. I like to use a paper cutter to get straight edges, but scissors will work
Step 2
Starting with January and February, lay the cards for two months next to each other, leaving a tiny gap of about a 1/16 inch. Use Washi tape to join the pieces together. Repeat this process until all the cards are connected.
Step 3
Flip the calendar over and add tape to the backs of the seams. This will help create little hinges so you can display the calendar.
Step 4
Fold your calendar like an accordion, creasing the seams to reinforce the folds. Stand your calendar up along a desk or countertop, or fold so that past or future months are tucked behind the present one.
Instead of making a stand-up calendar, you can punch a hole in the top of each card (a Crop-A-Dile will punch them all at one time!), then tie a loop of baker’s twine through for hanging!
Wrap up some crayons to go with this 2014 Crafty Calendar and give it as a gift, or just keep a bundle of crayons close by so you can color in each month as it comes around.
Have a happy, crafty year!
