The best gifts from your kids are the ones that have the most heart, and that often involves the making of the gift itself. But no one needs to wear macaroni necklaces anymore. Not with these great crafts to get us going.

I tried to pick projects that dads could make without too much trouble or mad crafting skills. But also, I wanted projects that could include the kids. Though the original project included hand sewn bags, you can easily grab acrylic paints and canvas totes at the store. The key to keeping these beautiful is limiting the color palette to 1 or 2 colors!

Air Dry Clay Love Tokens

My daughter and I made these when she was barely 3 years old. They’re easy and fun to make – you just need to add a day for the clay to dry!

Beautiful necklaces made by kids are hard to come by, but I think this sweet fingerprint version would be an honor to wear. You could even jazz it up after you get it with a little tassle or a couple golden charms with their initials.

The Mom Book

My daughter is always giving me lovely handmade cards and drawings, but they’re so hard to keep track of. I love the idea of a centralized book where kids can add messages or drawings on special holidays or whenever they feel like it.
