In our house there is always so much excitement surrounding the First-Day of school—particularly when it comes to the all-too-important First-Day Outfit. If there is one thing my kids and I can agree on, it’s that a great First-Day Outfit is crucial.
That’s why we partnered with Lands’ End to come up with our “First-Day Faves” collection—three handpicked back-to-school uniforms that will be featured in the Lands’ End virtual blog-up shop with an exclusive 25% off promo code.
Stay tuned next week to get the details for this limited time back-to-school promotion…in the meantime, here is a little sneak peek:
My kids are going to a new school that requires uniforms this year, and with all the stylish silhouettes, they’ve had a blast picking out their new outfits. While the idea of a uniform wasn’t initially a party starter for Charlotte, I could see her excitement building as she started trying on her clothes. Who doesn’t love playing dress-up with new threads?
We were especially inspired by the ability to take a classic school uniform and find little accessories (like Charlotte’s headband) to allow their personal style to shine through. We discovered so many easy-to-wear, durable uniform options in sizes that fit the whole family. Picking a look for each of our kids ended up being a total snap and a fun activity for the whole family! Clearly, the kids are already fired up for their First-Day.
In our house, we love anything with a monogram to keep the sibling rivalry at bay. Before we knew it, some of the kids had already gotten into the boxes and were wearing their personalized pieces. Lands’ End offers custom monogramming for just about anything that can take a stitch, including backpacks and school uniforms. It costs $6 and takes about 3-5 days. This rolling backpack is just one of the many monogrammed items we chose to send our kids off in cool First-Day style.
Of course we can’t send our Handmade Charlotte kiddos back to school without something DIY to make them feel extra special and confident on their First-Day! While shopping for Lands’ End school uniforms, we were inspired to transform your run-of-the-mill sack lunch into a fashion satchel complete with its own custom “monogramming.”
