I am obsessed with leather accessories lately—and with the idea that I could actually make them myself. Maybe it’s the promise of fall and the knowledge that I’ll be pulling out my leather boots and winter bags soon…but I’m still searching for the perfect moto jacket!
The smell and the softness of leather makes it ideal for adventurous do-it-yourself projects; it’s such a beautiful material. You can find scraps of leather at your local craft store, or go all out and seek out a specialty leather shop to find your perfect shade and weight. Check out some of these projects to give you a taste—we’ve got everything from simple to complex, fast to slow.

A super minimal solution to the age-old shelf. I love finding ways to avoid the average shelf brackets and this one’s a stunner.
Leather Clutch

A no-sew leather purse that looks this good? I’m smitten with it. Isn’t it gorgeous in this color too?

Sometimes metal bracelets are so uncomfortable to wear—they get in the way of everything! These soft sueded bracelets would be like wearing little pillows on your arms in comparison!
