We love birthdays here at Handmade Charlotte. (Duh!) If you ask any kid what their favorite day out of the entire year is, we’d bet the big bucks their answer would be their birthday. It’s the one day that gives you an excuse to throw down with all the unicorns, disco balls, and sweetest treats you desire (even though, on the DL, we do that every day)!

When we heard HSN‘s 38th birthday was coming up, we were thrilled to be part of the celebration. We designed these colorful birthday printables inspired by the HP Pavilion 17” Notebook (exclusive to HSN) and the birthday of Windows 10 for HSN Today’s Special segment on July 18th. (We’ll actually be there in person so be sure to tune in!)

The reason this new partnership between HP and HSN is so exciting is because now you can buy HP products through HSN with a flexible pay plan and lifetime tech support. They’ll ship your purchase right away, but allow you to break up your payments into separate installments. If you’ve got a teenager in the house who’s been dreaming of a new laptop (like we do), this would be the perfect money-managing exercise to prep them for their upcoming college career. We decided to make these birthday confetti envelopes in honor of this fantastic union because they are the perfect DIY present the littles can make for their friends! No offense to our favorite candy brands, but when we think “fun-size,” we think “bigger!” Because what’s better than opening an oversized birthday envelope and finding a surprise of confetti and good fortunes inside? (Okay, maybe opening an oversized present and finding an oversized cupcake inside…) But this confetti envelope is a close second for sure! Ready to get festive? Let’s do it!

• 9″ x 11 1/2″ Presentation Envelope
• Handmade Charlotte Birthday Confetti Printables (download the cover, the mini polkadot pattern, the printable confetti, and fortune pages 1 and 2)
• Spray Adhesive
• Various Punches
• Your Favorite Colored Paper + Tissue Paper

To make the envelope, layer the polkadot background and blue “Let the good fortune fly” circle onto the back of a presentation envelope using spray adhesive. Lightly mist once or twice to avoid getting the paper too wet!

To make the confetti, simply cut out the fortunes and circle dots. You can spray mount these to colored paper before cutting out for double sided color! Punch out your favorite shapes in coordinating colored papers. Fill your envelope and prepare to let the good fortune fly!
