Who knew that so many fun combinations could come from so few ingredients? All you need for this project are a few types of pretzels, Rolo candies, and some simple pre-made cookies. While pretzels make the hair, Rolos make the eyes, and a little frosting binds it all together to make endless fun faces! Sugar cookies, gingersnap cookies, chocolate cookies, snickerdoodles? Perfect. Mohawks, curls, receding hair lines? Do it. Glasses, mustaches, lips and noses? Why not?

 

• 8 assorted Plain Pre-made Cookies (sugar, ginger, chocolate, etc.)
• White Frosting
• Mini Pretzels
• Mini Pretzel Rods
• 16 Rolo Candies, unwrapped

Makes 8 pretzel people

Before you begin, line a baking sheet with Parchment Paper. Place the cookies on the baking sheet, evenly spaced out across the sheet. Fill a piping bag fitted with a small round tip with the frosting.

To make a curly haired Pretzel Person: Turn a cookie over and pipe out a thick line of frosting across the edge of the top half of the cookie.

Press about 5 mini pretzels into the frosting so that 2/3 of the pretzel is sticking out above the cookie. Flip the cookie over so that it is resting on the mini pretzels.

Pipe a line of frosting across the base of the mini pretzels, right along the edge of the cookie. Press 4-5 pretzels into the frosting so that the edge of the pretzels are up gainst the edge of the cookie.

Pipe another line of frosting across the top half of the cookie. Press another 4-5 pretzels into the line of frosting so that the top half of the pretzels are sticking out above the cookie.

Pipe two large dots of frosting where eyes would go on the cookie. Press two Rolo candies on top of the frosting dots.

Pipe a small frosting dot on the center of each Rolo candy.

Decorate the rest of the cookie (and remaining cookies!) as desired.

Let cookies sit out for a few hours to allow the frosting to dry. Store cookies in an airtight container.
