We’ve been seriously obsessed with the HP Sprout from the second we got our crafty hands on it. You can scan basically anything and then turn it into stickers, jewelry, gems, photo props, shoe clips, and so much more! HP turned it up a notch recently by adding the element of the 3D turntable which turns your 2D scans into 3D objects! You simply place your object on the turntable and then connect it to the Dremel 3D Idea Builder and Voila! It’s seriously magical to watch the platform build what ever your heart desires.
Our love for HP Sprout had us traveling to San Francisco, California last month to share our cheer for the computer that makes everyone jump with excitement! The HP Truck Stop during the SF Science Fair was jam-packed and the excitement was contagious.
Jonathan and I brought our five year old (HP Sprout lover and 3D printing expert) to show the Bay Area community how easy and fun it is to use.
As crafters and parents the new HP Sprout has become a big part of our creative process. We particularly love how easy it is for children to use!

Gemstone Rings
We printed a ring base with our Dremel 3D Idea Builder, then topped them with paper gems we painted ourselves. Fabulous!
Paper Jewelry
We really got glam with these glittery paper jewels – we just couldn’t stop making them!
Toy Workshop
There are so many pre-programmed projects for you to print using your Dremel 3D Idea Workshop when you first take it out of the box. Here we feature some of our favorites.
