I’ll come right out and say it: Dads are hard to shop for! If your dad is anything like mine, he’ll usually just buy whatever it is he needs, not realizing that Father’s Day is right around the corner!
So unless we have a brilliant gift idea, gift cards are pretty safe bet. And just because you’re giving a gift card, that doesn’t mean you can’t wrap it up nicely! Today’s DIY shows a super simple and playful way to dress up your Father’s Day gift card this year!
What You Need
- Plastic toy vegetables
- Box
- Paper
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Pencil
- Gift card
How-To
Step 1
Paint the inside of your box and lid white. Let dry.
Step 2
Paint the outside of the box a fun, bright color. Let dry completely.
Step 3
On the inside of the lid, write in pencil “Thank you for making us eat our veggies!”
Step 4
Trace over the pencil letters in paint or black marker.
Step 5
Make a tag that says “We’ll only say this once…” and a little note to attach to your gift card that says “Happy Father’s Day!”
Step 6
Fill the box with plastic veggies and put the gift card on top of them.
Step 7
Close the box, tie shut with a ribbon and the tag tied on top.
Happy crafting :)
