I love all the mudcloth inspired patterns that have become so popular lately. The hand-drawn meets geometric look is so striking! Traditionally mudcloth is more neutral in color, but I just had to add a rainbow touch to make this wrapping paper super playful and bright.
Making your own mudcloth-inspired rainbow wrapping paper is as easy as it looks – simply sketch your design onto plain paper and paint away! I chose to use white paper as the background, but why not try another bright color instead? Rainbows forever!
What You Need
- Paint
- Paintbrushes
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Ruler
- White paper
How-To
- Unroll as much white paper as you’ll need to wrap your present. Lightly draw patterns inspired by traditional mudcloth designs – a quick image search is great for inspiration. Use a ruler to help keep your pattern even.
- Use a fine paintbrush and brightly colored paints to go over the pencil lines you just drew.
- Let dry completely and erase any visible pencil marks
- Voila! Use the paper to wrap your gift.
Happy crafting!
