Looking for a fun way to add detail and texture onto dyed Easter eggs this year? Mod Podge to the rescue! Cut simple shapes out of tissue paper and apply them onto eggs to make adorable fruity patterns. We made cherry, blueberry, and strawberry covered eggs – peaches, apples, and kiwis would be sweet too!
For even more fantastic fruit eggs, check these amazing eggs by Jodi Levine and Margaret McCartney. The neon shades are so fun for spring!
What You Need
- Dyed eggs
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Mod Podge
- Tissue paper
How-To
Step 1
Draw and cut out your fruit shapes from tissue paper – these small red circles will be cherries.
Step 2
Apply Mod Podge onto the egg, place the tissue paper circle, and then apply more Mod Podge on top to seal it in. Repeat with more red circles.
Step 3
Cut stems and leaves out of green tissue paper and apply in the same way, connecting the pairs of cherries.
Step 4
Repeat on other eggs using different colored tissue paper to make other fruits and berries. We made cherries, blueberries, and strawberries, but wouldn’t peaches, apples, and bananas be cute too?
Happy crafting!
