Dad might not want to go out for fast food on Father’s Day, but he’s sure to enjoy this printable pack of french fries. It’s kawaii-cute and calorie-free! But this isn’t just a cute card on the outside — the inside is filled with words to tell dad how great he is!

Older children will be able to make this card and write out the french fry message all by themselves. And while younger kids will need some help writing, they’ll be great at coming up with fun things to say about their dad.

Add this card to a special gift or let it be the gift itself. This is one card that dad will eat right up!

• Red and yellow paper (or other colors if you’d like)
• Scissors
• Glue stick
• Pen or marker
• Printable template

Step 1
Print the first page of the fry box PDF onto red paper (or another color, if you’d like). Cut out around the shape. If you cut just inside the outline, it looks neat and tidy.

Step 2
Fold the fry box in the middle on the solid line and crease.

Step 3
Unfold the fry box and rub glue stick on the two sides of the front half. Re-fold the box and let the glue dry. While it’s drying, start preparing the french fries.

Step 4
Print the second page of the PDF on yellow paper. Cut the strips apart.

Step 5
Think of ways to finish the sentence “Dad you are…” These can be one word, like “smart” or a phrase like “the best coach ever!” The most important thing is to have them be ways to let your dad know how great he is.

Write the words and phrases on the french fry strips. Use any color pen or marker you want. I used orange so it shows up well without distracting too much from the fries’ golden color.

If you run out of french fry strips, print another page, because you can never get enough of these fries!

Step 6
Slide the french fries into the finished fry box. If you want, sign your name or add an extra message on the back of the package.

Now your french fry box is ready to give to dad on Father’s Day! And while this pack of tasty paper potatoes is meant to be a card, all those words of encouragement will be a gift in themselves.
