Cheep cheep – it’s almost Easter! To celebrate, we made this super playful dioramas! In case you haven’t already noticed, we’re big fans of dioramas so we couldn’t help but make these adorable ones just for Easter.
If you don’t already have most of the supplies in your craft stash, a quick trip to the dollar store is all you need! This project is great for kids to work on this Easter weekend, or at a get-together brunch on Sunday. You could even attach little loops of ribbon onto the top of each one and hang them on an Easter tree!
what you need:
- Clear plastic cups / bowls (various shapes and sizes)
- Cereal box cardboard
- Felt
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Hot glue gun
- Easter basket nesting
- Mini chicks, mushrooms, eggs, etc
how-to:
Step 1
Pick out which cups you’d like to use and trace the opening onto the cardboard. Cut out and then glue this cardboard onto felt. Trim around the edges so that you now have a cardboard circle with felt covering one side. This will be the base of your diorama.
Step 2
Arrange various chicks, eggs, whatever you like onto the base. This is the fun part, so play around with them until you’re happy with the layout. Once you are, glue everything onto the felt base.
Step 3
Finally, close up the diorama by applying a few dots of hot glue onto the open edge of the plastic cup and then secure onto the felt base, holding in place while it dries.
