Here’s a quick & easy craft project for all the LEGO fans out there (who isn’t?) from super fab Brazilian crafter and illustrator Estéfi Machado. As you may recall from this previous post, Estéfi has a seemingly endless supply of ingenious little craft ideas.
Materials
- Baby food jar (or similar)
- Yellow acrylic paint
- Black permanent marker
Step 1
Remove the lid to the glass jar and thoroughly clean. Pour the paint into the jar (you do not need to fill; simply fill with enough paint to completely cover the sides when shaken).
Step 2
Put the lid back on the jar, making sure that it is properly seated and sealed. Shake the jar until the inside is thoroughly coated with paint. Remove the lid and pour out the excess paint.
Step 3
Draw a face using your black permanent marker. You don’t have to be an amazing artist to pull this off–the beauty of LEGO is its simplicity. Add a beard, an eye patch, glasses, or anything else that strikes you. Have fun with it!
Your new little friend is capable of much more than simply holding pencils–the only limit is your imagination. Make an entire army to send home with the kids at your next party!
