I’m back, rested and refreshed after a fabulous holiday in the French Alps. We try to go there every summer, staying somewhere different each year. As you can imagine, the scenery is amazing, and the whole family really loves spending as much time as possible outdoors, enjoying everything that nature has to offer.
This year I found myself chasing and photographing butterflies! The alpine forests and fields were teeming with life; I felt like an 8 year old explorer! With wild flowers in abundance near Le Mont Blanc there was no shortage of butterflies to admire – always so magnificent and beautiful in their simplicity.
Inspired by our colorful discoveries, I’d like to share a few ideas for decorating with butterflies. I hope they bring a smile to your face and perhaps encourage you to add a few of these beauties to your home.
If you love butterflies, patterns and color, why not invest in some butterfly artwork like these prints by Hong Kong artist Simon Birch? Strikingly beautiful in this stylish Danish family residence (a kid-friendly holiday rental available via the excellent Kid & Coe), they will certainly brighten up any family or child’s space. Dare to decorate your walls with bright, bold butterfly prints like this Danish family in Copenhagen.
