Give friends, family, and everyone you fancy these lovely DIY cockade cards to hang on their walls or keep as a special reminder of how amazing they are!
What You Need
- Colored paper
- Double sided tape
- Scissor
- Ruler
- Compass
- Multi-purpose glue
- String
- Pencil
- Bone folder (optional)
How-To
Step 1
Cut a long piece of colored paper in an 11″ x 3″ strip, then draw and score lines every 1/2″. Fold back and forth on the lines for the entire length of the paper until it looks like an accordian.
Step 2
Now, tie a knot in the center of the folded paper with your string. Stick a small strip of double sided tape onto each side of the accordion. Open up the rosette so that the opposing sides meet and stick together, forming a circle.
Step 3
Now draw and cut circles, tails, and heart shapes out of your colored paper.
Step 4
Glue two tails to the circle, then glue the circle to the back of the rosette. On the front side, glue the heart in the center so that it covers the string.
Voila! Your Valentine’s Cockade Card is almost done! Now all there’s left to do is write the name of the special someone it’s for :)
Happy Valentine’s Day!
