This post is sponsored by Sony Pictures in connection to the home release of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: when we’re excited about something, we craft about it! Holidays, birthdays, movies, you name it. And today it’s all about JUMANJI: Welcome to the Jungle which is available Now on Digital and coming to Blu-ray and DVD March 20th. We cannot wait to watch the movie together as a family! We’ve come up with three fun ways to get ready for the release and plan a Jumanji-themed movie night.
Dress up your drinks with these quick and colorful bandanas (inspired by Moose Finbar, of course!) and top them with handmade drink stirrers. We used a whole bunch of plastic animals and palm trees from the dollar store, but the miniature section at the craft store will definitely have some great options too!
Make your own binocular favors filled with treats to enjoy while watching the movie! And once the candies inside have all been eaten up, kids can use the binoculars as toys too. And don’t forget to fill in your own custom nametags! Inspired by the scene in the movie, these printables are a fun way to get thinking about strengths and weaknesses with your whole family.

DIY Jungle Drinks
what you need:
- Hot glue gun
- Bandanas
- Scissors
- Wooden skewers
- Mini plastic animals + figures
- Pom poms
- Tassels
how-to:
Step 1
Arrange the plastic animals, figures, etc into little set ups and groupings that you like.
Step 2
Hot glue the arrangements onto the top of wooden skewers if you want drink stirrers, or onto straws if you like.
Step 3
For the drink wraps, cut the corner off of a bandana into a triangle.
Step 4
Beginning at the wide end, roll into a narrow tube.
Step 5
Wrap around your glass (we used clear plastic party cups) and tie into a double knot to secure in place. Repeat with more red bandanas or use camouflage fabric too!
Fill the cups with tropical punch or your favorite drink and top with your drink stirrers!
Printable Jumanji Nametags
Inspired by a scene in the movie where our favorite characters learn about their strengths and weaknesses, make your very own nametags featuring your own strengths and weaknesses! Download the printable below.
what you need:
- Printable nametags
- Sticker paper
- Scissors
- Pen
how-to:
Step 1
Print out the tags onto sticker paper and use scissors to cut them into individual tags.
Step 2
If using the blank tags, use a pen to fill in your own strengths and weaknesses.
DIY Binocular Favors
what you need:
- Cardstock (black)
- Craft foam (black and white)
- Cardboard tubes (two sizes)
- Scissors
- Craft knife
- Double-sided tape
- Regular tape
- Hot glue gun
- Ruler
- Black yarn
- Pencil
how-to:
Step 1
Cut black cardstock to fit the cardboard tubes. Use double-sided tape to secure and wrap around the tubes to cover. You need two tubes (toilet paper roll sized) for the main two parts of the binoculars. After you’ve covered the outside, cover the inside as well.
Step 2
Do the same but on a mini cardboard roll – this one should be narrower, but also shorter than the other two rolls.
Step 3
Trace the two large rolls onto white craft foam. Cut out and use clear tape to attach one circle onto one end of each tube. Don’t worry if the tape is visible right now, we’ll be covering it up later.
Step 4
Cut black craft foam into 1” wide strips and attach onto the end of each craft tube that you just attached the white circles. The black craft foam should cover up any tape that was on the edge.
Step 5
Time to assemble! Set the two tubes next to each other and then take the mini tube and set it in between them. Use the hot glue gun to attach the mini tube to both the regular tubes, forming a pair of binoculars!
Step 6
Cut a piece of yarn and tape one end into each binocular tube.
Step 7
Fill the binoculars with fun treats! Individually wrapped candies, pom poms, and jungle-themed party favors are perfect!
