Raise your hand if you’ve killed a plant or two … or five or ten! These awesome “plants” are a part of PUTPUT‘s Fruitless photographic series. Everyday objects were put into pots and styled to look just like real plants. We love repurposing things into something brand new, so it goes without saying that we’re huge fans of this series! Just look at that plant made from a pair of garden gloves! The shapes and colors are so creative and projects like this really inspire us to slow down and take a closer look at the everyday objects that surround us.
Based in Copenhagen, Stephan Friedli and Ulrik Martin Larsen founded PUTPUT in 2011 as a way to create collaborative art. Focusing mainly on photography and sculpture, the duo love to explore and create art using everyday objects. Friedli and Larsen say that they hope their art “challenges people to look twice” and that they see something they weren’t expecting. We love their playful and thoughtfully designed series and can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
