Going on picnics is my family’s favorite thing to do in warm weather. We love exploring our neighborhood and nearby towns – as long as the weather cooperates, it’s always a good time! We prepare our favorite finger foods, sandwiches, fruits, a bottle of lemonade, and we’re ready to go.
Last week I wanted to do a little something special to mix up our picnic routine. I kept my eyes open for inspiration and then all of a sudden, it hit me. I knew exactly what to do to add a fun surprise into our picnic basket.
A few drawings and a pop of color later – voila! The picnic printable was born. I like to print out a bunch, and then play around with them a bit. The best part is that there are so many ways to use this printable! First of all, it can be used as a placemat for traditional packed picnic lunches or for backyard parties. You can also use them as sandwich wrappers – just wrap your sandwich with the printable, and secure with tape or a length of string. Or what about folding it into a cutlery pocket or a cookie bag? No matter how you use it, your picnic is sure to look more colorful and fun!
